Eligibility Criteria for Industrial/Mining Workers.

  • A worker must work in an industrial/mining establishment which is registered under factories Act
    1934 of the Labour Department/Mining Act 1923
  • The minimum service required is 3 years.
  • Workers can apply for themselves or their children’s who are studying in any regular degree
    program approved by HEC.
  • Minimum required percentage are as follows.
    1. Post- Matriculation   50%
    2. Post- Intermediate    55%
    3. Post-Graduation        60%

Categories and Rates of Scholarships.

In addition to all expenses of the students who are eligible as per the above mentioned Eligibility Criteria ,
vis-a-vis Admission Fee, Tuition Fee, Registration Fee, Examination Fee, Library Fee/Computer Fee or
Lab Fee along with Transport Charges, Hostel/Messing Charges (except charity funds and refundable or
non-refundable securities), a fixed scholarship according to following categories will be paid.

Category –I

Student are studying in post matriculation.

Rs.25000/-

Category –II

Student are studying in post intermediate degree
program.

Rs.40000/-

Category –III

Student who are studying in any post-graduation
degree program or any professional degree i.e. Medical
& Engineering.

Rs.50000/-

Higher Education

The Workers Welfare Board Sindh will pay for the whole
tuition fee, admission fee, and any other fees as long as the
student attains minimum 2.4 GPA in a course approved by
the H.E.C and from a H.E.C recognized university i.e.
B.B.A, M.B.A, B.E, M.B.BS, BDS, M.D.S, C.A, M.E, etc.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • CNIC of Worker.
  • EOBI / SESSI cards of worker.
  • Factory Employment card of worker.
  • All relevant educational document of beneficiary.
  • Form duly attested by the concerned educational institution and employer.
  • An affidavit duly attested by the Notary Public or Oath Commissioner that the particulars
    given by the applicant are correct and if found wrong, he/she will refund the amount received
    as Scholarship
  • Applicant must fulfill the definition of “Worker” as described in SWWF Act 2014.

INSTRUCTION & GUIDELINES.

  • The application forms are distributed and collected at the concerned Regional Offices of Workers
    Welfare Board Sindh and download from official website.
  • The initial scrutiny is carried out by the Welfare Section of the concerned Region.
  • The application forms are placed before the scrutiny committee for final recommendation.
  • The approved list is sent to head office of Workers Welfare Board Sindh for approval of payment.

It is to inform you that educational institution are under in trial at Anti-Corruption court/NAB. Workers
and their children who will study in these institutions will not be entitled WWBS Talent Scholarship till the
final decision of the honourable courts.
